Open to software engineering, ML and quant roles
Hi, I'm Mayuravarsha.
I build models that see and hear|
I work across machine learning, backend systems and quantitative finance. My paper on detecting violence in videos using audio and visual features won the 2nd Best Paper Award at the 2023 IEEE ICAECIS. I have also built a low latency limit order book in C++ and an options pricing and volatility engine. I have built payment, analytics and web features at IDFC First Bank and worked on a production log monitoring agent at CanyonTechs AI. Currently I am doing my MS in Computer Science and Engineering at Penn State.

01. About
I enjoy problems where good modelling and good systems design come together. For example a small audio model that decides whether a heavy video model even needs to run, or a message that is acknowledged only after the work is done so that nothing gets lost.
Lately I have been building quant projects. A C++ order book that I test against a second engine written in Python, and an options library where every Greek is checked against a finite difference estimate.
I also enjoy front end work. At IDFC I rebuilt the customer onboarding and payment flows in React.
I am doing my master's in Computer Science and Engineering at Penn State. I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant for CMPSC 360 (Discrete Mathematics) and earlier I was a Learning Assistant for CMPSC 200 (Programming for Engineers with MATLAB). Before my master's I spent two and a half years at IDFC First Bank where I joined as an intern and then moved to a full time role.
